Ingredients

1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional, for sweetness)

Chopped fresh cilantro or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.

Prepare Chickpeas: After rinsing, pat the chickpeas dry with paper towels. This step is crucial to achieve that desired crunch.

Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas, olive oil, Sriracha sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and honey/agave syrup (if using). Toss the mixture until the chickpeas are evenly coated.

Air Fry the Chickpeas: Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single-layer spread. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping. Prepare to enjoy the heavenly aroma wafting through your kitchen!

Check for Doneness: After 12 minutes, check the chickpeas. They should be golden brown and crunchy. If they need more time, air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the chickpeas from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Transfer them to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley.

Enjoy: Serve your crunchy Sriracha chickpeas as a perfect snack, topping for salads, or a flavorful addition to grain bowls!
