Ingredients

1 cup almond butter (creamy)

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup protein powder (chocolate or vanilla flavored)

1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Optional: shredded coconut or chopped nuts for rolling

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.

Add the rolled oats, cocoa powder, protein powder, and sea salt to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. The mixture should be thick and slightly sticky.

Gently fold in the mini dark chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Using your hands, scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. If desired, roll the ball in shredded coconut or chopped nuts for an extra layer of flavor and texture.

Place the rolled balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all the mixture is used up.

Refrigerate the protein balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up. This will make them easier to handle and enhance the flavors.

Once chilled, transfer the protein balls to an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze them for longer storage.
