Ingredients

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup granulated sugar

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

½ tsp ground cinnamon

1 large egg

¾ cup whole milk

⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup granulated sugar (for coating)

2 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line it with muffin liners.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the egg, whole milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Wet and Dry: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined; be careful not to overmix—batter may be slightly lumpy.

Fill Muffin Tin: Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about ¾ of the way full.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. The tops should be golden brown.

Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Coating: While the muffins are baking, mix ½ cup of granulated sugar with 2 tsp of ground cinnamon in a bowl.

Coat Muffins: Once the muffins are done, allow them to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. Then, remove the muffins from the tins and roll each muffin in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

Serve: Enjoy warm or at room temperature. These muffins are best enjoyed fresh!
