1 large cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cumin for an extra kick

Fresh herbs for garnish (parsley or additional dill)

Instructions
 

Start by grating the cucumber using a box grater or food processor. Once grated, place the cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth and wring it out to remove excess moisture. This step helps prevent the dip from being watery.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained cucumber and the Greek yogurt. Mix well until evenly combined.

      Add the minced garlic, chopped dill, lemon juice, and olive oil to the yogurt and cucumber mixture. Stir until smooth.

        Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you’re using cumin, add it now for an additional layer of flavor. Mix again to fully incorporate.

          Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

            Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

              Serve with pita chips, veggie sticks, or as a creamy spread on sandwiches and wraps. Enjoy!
