1 cup canned pumpkin puree

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 pound fettuccine pasta

Fresh parsley or sage for garnish (optional)

Cook the Fettuccine: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

    Make the Alfredo Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

      Add Pumpkin and Cream: Stir in the pumpkin puree and heavy cream, mixing well until combined. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
