Ingredients

For the Pizza Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

1 tablespoon active dry yeast

3/4 cup warm water (about 110°F)

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Alfredo Sauce:

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

For the Toppings:

2 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

      - In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.

        - Combine until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

          - Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

            Make the Alfredo Sauce:

              - In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).

                - Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg if using. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

                  Preheat the Oven:

                    - Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up as well.

                      Assemble the Pizza:

                        - Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza peel or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

                          - Spread a generous amount of the Alfredo sauce over the base, leaving a small border for the crust.

                            - Evenly distribute the chopped spinach over the sauce, followed by the shredded mozzarella and crumbled feta. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes for an extra kick if desired.

                              Bake:

                                - Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the hot pizza stone). Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

                                  Finishing Touches:

                                    - Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing.

                                      Serve:

                                        - Cut into slices and enjoy your creamy spinach Alfredo pizza fresh from the oven!
