Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional: fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare Green Beans: Wash and trim the green beans. Pat them dry with a paper towel to ensure they crispy up nicely when baked.

Make Breading Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Prepare Egg Wash: In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and beat them lightly. Add the olive oil and mix again.

Bread the Green Beans: Dip each green bean first in the egg wash, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it's fully coated. Place the coated green beans on the prepared baking sheet, spreading them out in a single layer to ensure even baking.

Bake: Bake the green bean fries in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until they’re golden brown and crisp. Halfway through, flip the green beans over to ensure they bake evenly.

Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve with lemon wedges for added flavor.

Enjoy: Dig into your deliciously crunchy garlic green bean fries that make a perfect appetizer, side dish, or snack!
