1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon instant coffee granules

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For the Cafe Latte Frosting:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

2 tablespoons brewed espresso or strong coffee

1 tablespoon milk (or cream for extra richness)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cocoa powder, for dusting (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

    Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Allow it to cool slightly after melting.

      Mix Sugars and Eggs: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until well-combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, instant coffee granules, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
