1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon milk (optional, for consistency)

Sea salt for topping

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin pan or line it with mini muffin liners.

    Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until completely melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

      Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually stir in the cooled chocolate mixture until smooth.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: Sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl. Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

          Prepare Peanut Butter Filling: In a small mixing bowl, stir together the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk (if using), until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more milk, one teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

            Assemble Brownie Cups: Fill each mini muffin cup about halfway with the brownie batter. Then, using a small spoon, place a dollop (approximately 1 teaspoon) of the peanut butter filling on top of the batter. Finally, cover the peanut butter with additional brownie batter, filling approximately 3/4 full.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Don’t overbake!

                Cool & Garnish: Remove the brownie cups from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on each cup while they're still warm.
