Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1 cup applesauce (unsweetened)

1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 medium apple, peeled and finely chopped (e.g., Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Pinch of salt

Optional toppings: crushed nuts, raisins, or granola

Instructions

Prepare the Yogurt Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until smooth and well blended.

Make the Apple Cinnamon Swirl: In a separate bowl, mix the applesauce with the ground cinnamon. Add the finely chopped apple and stir until the apples are well coated.

Combine the Mixtures: Gently fold the apple cinnamon mixture into the yogurt mixture, creating a beautiful swirl pattern without fully mixing them together.

Pipe or Spoon into Molds: Using a piping bag or a spoon, fill silicone disc molds (or mini muffin tins) with the yogurt-apple mixture, leveling them off at the top. If you don't have molds, you can use a lined baking sheet as well.

Freeze: Place the filled molds in the freezer. Allow them to freeze for at least 4 hours, or until they are solid.

Serve: Once frozen, remove the discs from the molds. If using a baking sheet, gently peel off the parchment paper. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Optional Toppings: Before serving, you can sprinkle with crushed nuts, raisins, or granola for added texture and flavor.
