Ingredients

2 large ripe bananas

1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or your favorite flavored yogurt)

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp baking powder

1 pinch of salt

1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Optional toppings: Chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or fresh fruit

Instructions

Prep the Bananas: Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise. Then, slice them into strips about 1 inch wide. Place the slices on a tray lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 2 hours or until solid.

Make the Yogurt Coating: In a mixing bowl, stir together the Greek yogurt and a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor. If you prefer, you can also mix in a sweetener like honey or agave syrup.

Prepare the Churro Coating: In another bowl, combine the granulated sugar, remaining cinnamon, flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to ensure an even distribution.

Fry the Banana Slices: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, take the frozen banana slices and dip them into the yogurt mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Coat with Churro Mix: After coating in yogurt, roll the banana slices in the churro coating mixture, pressing gently to adhere the mixture to the yogurt layer.

Fry until Golden: Carefully place the coated banana slices in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the churro slices to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

Serve: While still warm, drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce, and top with fresh fruits if desired. Enjoy immediately for the best texture, or serve with additional yogurt for dipping!
