Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Extra melted butter for brushing

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

Combine Ingredients: Slowly add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Add Butter: Stir in the melted butter until fully incorporated.

Knead the Dough: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.

Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Second Rise: Cover the rolls again and let them rise for another 30 minutes until they puff up.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Brush with Garlic Butter: Once the rolls have risen, brush the tops generously with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring they are well coated.

Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Final Touch: Remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with any remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.

Serve: Enjoy warm as a delicious accompaniment to your favorite dishes!
