Ingredients

4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried parsley)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Olive oil or melted butter, for frying

Instructions

Prep the Pork Chops: Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. This will enhance the flavor of the meat.

Set Up Breading Station: In three separate shallow dishes, prepare your breading station. In the first dish, place the flour. In the second, beat the eggs. In the third, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, parsley, and Italian seasoning, mixing well.

      Dredge the Chops:

        - Start by coating each pork chop in the flour, shaking off any excess.

          - Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's fully coated.

            - Finally, roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the mixture to the chop. Ensure all sides are evenly coated. Set aside on a plate.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, pour enough olive oil or melted butter to cover the bottom of the pan and heat over medium-high heat. You want the oil to be hot enough that it sizzles when you add the pork chops.

Cook the Pork Chops: Carefully place the breaded pork chops in the sizzling skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).

Rest and Serve: Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Garnish: Serve with a sprinkle of extra parsley on top for a fresh touch. Pair with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
