8 chicken drumsticks, skin-on

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, black pepper, smoked paprika, olive oil, and salt. Whisk well until all ingredients are blended smoothly.

    Marinate the Drumsticks: Place the chicken drumsticks in a large resealable plastic bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the drumsticks, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag (or cover the bowl) and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

      Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

        Prepare the Baking Dish: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

          Arrange Drumsticks: Remove the drumsticks from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced apart for even cooking.

            Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a golden caramelized exterior. Optionally, halfway through the cooking time, brush some of the reserved marinade over the drumsticks for an extra layer of flavor.
