Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1/2 cup whole milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup maple syrup (for glazing)

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for glazing)

Extra ground cinnamon (for sprinkling, optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Donut Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with non-stick spray or butter and set aside.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the beaten eggs, whisking until smooth.

Combine: Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter should be slightly lumpy.

Fill the Pan: Using a piping bag or a spoon, carefully fill each donut mold in the pan about two-thirds full with the batter.

Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Make Maple Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth. If desired, adjust the consistency by adding more syrup or powdered sugar until you achieve your preferred thickness.

Glaze the Donuts: Once the donuts are completely cooled, dip the tops into the maple glaze to coat. Optionally, sprinkle extra ground cinnamon on top for added flavor.

Serve: Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes. Enjoy your Maple Glazed Cinnamon Donuts fresh or store in an airtight container for up to two days.
