Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

10 Oreo cookies, chopped

6 Oreo cookies, for topping

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easier removal.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until smooth.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Incorporate Dry into Wet: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients using a spatula or wooden spoon. Mix until just combined—do not over-mix.

Add Chocolate and Oreos: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and the chopped Oreo cookies until evenly distributed throughout the brownie batter.

Pour into the Pan: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it into an even layer.

Top with Oreos: Place the 6 whole Oreo cookies on top of the brownie batter, pressing them down slightly to ensure they stick during baking.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Use a toothpick inserted into the center to check for doneness; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.

Cool: Once baked, remove from the oven and let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack for about 30 minutes.

Serve: After cooling, remove the brownies from the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares or rectangles. If desired, dust with powdered sugar for an extra touch before serving.

Enjoy your indulgent Oreo Overload Brownies, perfect for any chocolate lover!
