Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, pitted and chopped

2 cups brewed black tea, cooled (you can use sweetened tea for extra flavor)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

Juice of 1 lemon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Tea: Start by brewing 2 cups of black tea using your preferred method. Keep it unsweetened if you want a more natural peach flavor or sweeten it to your preference. Allow the tea to cool completely.

Blend the Peaches: While the tea is cooling, place the chopped peaches in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunky texture, pulse the peaches just a few times to maintain some small pieces.

Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the peach puree, cooled tea, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or acidity according to your preference.

Freeze the Mixture: Pour the mixture into a shallow dish—metal works best as it conducts heat away quickly. Place the dish in the freezer.

Scrape the Granita: After about 30 minutes, use a fork to scrape the mixture. This process creates the desired granita texture. Return to the freezer and repeat the scraping every 30 minutes for about 2 to 3 hours, until the entire mixture is fluffy and resembles ice granules.

Serve: Once your granita has reached the perfect texture, spoon it into serving bowls. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired and enjoy your refreshing summer treat!
