Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced into strips

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 cup beef broth

1 cup sour cream

Salt and black pepper, to taste

12 oz (340g) egg noodles

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Egg Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Beef: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking for an additional 5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.

Combine Ingredients: Return the beef to the skillet. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Add Sour Cream: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Cook gently until heated through (do not boil). Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve: Toss the cooked egg noodles with the beef stroganoff sauce until well coated. Serve hot, garnishing with fresh chopped parsley.
