Ingredients

4 large whole wheat tortillas

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried dill)

2 cups fresh spinach, washed and dried

8 oz smoked salmon, sliced

1 ripe avocado, sliced

1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

1 tsp lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: capers for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and chopped dill. Blend until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Heat the Tortillas: Warm the whole wheat tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until soft and pliable. This step makes it easier to roll them without tearing.

Spread the Cream Cheese: Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface and spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture across the center, leaving about an inch at the edges.

Layer the Ingredients: On top of the cream cheese, layer a handful of fresh spinach, followed by slices of smoked salmon, pieces of avocado, and some thin slices of red onion. Drizzle with a little lemon juice for added freshness.

Wrap It Up: Starting from one end, carefully roll the tortilla tightly, tucking in the sides as you go to keep the filling secure. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas.

Slice and Serve: Once all wraps are rolled, slice them in half diagonally. If desired, add capers on top for garnish. Serve immediately, or cover tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 hours for a chilled option.

Enjoy!: These wraps make a delicious and nutritious lunch or snack, perfect for on-the-go.
