Ingredients

2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 lbs total)

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

Make the Spice Rub: In a small bowl, mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Season the Ribs: Generously rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring even coverage on both sides. Let the ribs sit for about 30 minutes at room temperature to absorb the flavors.

Mix the Sauce: In another bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard until smooth.

Layer in the Slow Cooker: Place the seasoned ribs into the slow cooker in a single layer. If necessary, you can cut them in half to fit. Pour half of the BBQ sauce mixture over the ribs, reserving the other half for later.

Cook the Ribs: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the ribs are tender and pulling away from the bone.

Glaze the Ribs: About 30 minutes before serving, preheat your oven broiler. Carefully transfer the cooked ribs to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Brush the reserved BBQ sauce over the top of the ribs.

Broil for Finish: Place the ribs under the broiler for about 5-10 minutes, watching closely until the sauce caramelizes and bubbles. This step enhances the flavor and adds a nice glaze.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for a few minutes. Cut between the bones to separate the ribs and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
