Ingredients

2 oz fresh pineapple juice

1 oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)

2 oz tequila (preferably silver)

0.5 oz agave syrup (adjust to taste)

1 Serrano pepper (sliced, seeds removed for less heat)

1 oz triple sec (orange liqueur)

Pinch of sea salt

Ice cubes

Pineapple wedges and Serrano slices for garnish

Tajín or chili powder for rimming the glass (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Glass: If desired, rim your glass with Tajín or chili powder. To do this, run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it into the Tajín or chili powder to coat.

Muddle the Pepper: In a cocktail shaker, add the sliced Serrano pepper. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the pepper to release its flavor. Be careful not to over-muddle as it may make the drink too spicy.

Mix Ingredients: Add the fresh pineapple juice, lime juice, tequila, triple sec, and agave syrup to the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

Shake It Up: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.

Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.

Garnish: Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a couple of thin slices of Serrano pepper on top for that extra flair and spice.

Enjoy: Sip and enjoy your refreshing, spicy margarita! Adjust the heat to your liking by adding more or fewer Serrano slices.
