Ingredients

4 large turkey thighs, skin-on and bone-in

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and well combined.

Marinate the Thighs: Place the turkey thighs in a large zip-top plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the honey mustard marinade over the turkey, making sure all sides are coated. Seal the bag (or cover the dish) and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Arrange in Baking Dish: After marination, remove the turkey thighs from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Place the thighs skin-side up in a baking dish. Pour any remaining marinade over the top.

Bake the Thighs: Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy and caramelized. Baste the turkey thighs with the pan juices halfway through cooking for extra flavor.

Glaze and Broil (Optional): For an even stickier glaze, switch to broil for the last 5 minutes of cooking, keeping a close eye to prevent burning. The skin should bubble and crisp up beautifully.

Rest and Garnish: Remove the turkey thighs from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the meat tender and juicy. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

Serve: Serve these sticky honey mustard turkey thighs alongside roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete meal that’s bursting with flavor!
