Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-style)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

12 slider buns

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the chicken breasts horizontally into thin cutlets for even cooking.

Dredging Stations: Set up a dredging station with three shallow dishes. In the first dish, place flour mixed with ½ teaspoon of salt and pepper; in the second, whisk the eggs; and in the third dish, combine breadcrumbs with garlic powder and oregano.

Coat the Chicken: Dip each chicken cutlet first in the flour, shaking off the excess, then into the egg mixture, and finally dredge in the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated.

Fry the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken cutlets in batches (do not overcrowd) and fry each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of each slider bun, spread a spoonful of marinara sauce. Place a fried chicken cutlet on top, then sprinkle both mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the chicken.

Bake the Sliders: Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and top each slider with a fresh basil leaf. Put the top half of the slider buns on and serve warm.
